Important information about dental registrations

Registrations with an NHS dentist ceased in 2006 when a new NHS dental contract was introduced to pay dentists by dental activity rather than getting paid per person registered on a list of permanent patients.

The contract means a dentist has no long-term obligation to see patients on the NHS unless they are undergoing active treatment, or dental work already carried out is under guarantee. Please note that you hold a nominal registration for 8 weeks after a course of
treatment being completed for urgent care. It is important that you maintain your appointments with the service and rebook if
advised by the dentist. Failure to do so will result in you being added to the practice waiting lists.

Please note that it is not the receptionist’s fault that we hold waiting lists. Verbal abuse towards our staff will not be tolerated and will result in you being removed from our waiting lists completely.

Services

We offer emergency care appointments (with exceptions), check-ups and routine dental care, private dental care, tooth whitening , implants, special care dentistry, dental health education services, domiciliary visits (for housebound patients) and mouth cancer screening sessions.

The dentist and his nurse were soooo lovely with me. Given that I am a nervous patient, they took their time with me and comforted me before starting the treatment.
