Research Strategy
Our Research Strategy describes the vision, objectives and priorities for the effective research activities conducted within City Health Care Partnership CIC.
It supports the organisations strategic objectives of:
..ensuring that we are able to compete in a competitive environment..
and
..being a provider of excellent care services…
The Strategy strengthens the organisations research aims and ambitions in support of a defined research agenda. These include:
- To develop and sustain a research culture which encourages staff to have an inquisitive mind and use evidence-based practice
- To inform and improve clinical practice and service development
- To seek financial reimbursement for our research activities in accordance with HRA funding
This will be achieved through meeting the following objectives.:-
- Provision of governance guidance and support for researchers wishing to undertake studies within CHCP premises or with our staff or service users
- Progress CHCP research management governance capability to enable external recognition of the organisation’s abilities and achievement, and in turn attract further, higher level research responsibilities
- Develop effective working relationships with the Clinical Research Network within Yorkshire & Humber to expand involvement in NIHR portfolio studies
- Strengthen existing links with academic research institutes such as University of Hull, York University and Hull and York Medical School (HYMS)
- Progress links with other Social Enterprises to strengthen the non-NHS healthcare provider voice
