City Health Care Partnership CIC takes over local Community Pharmacy
27 September, 2011
City Health Care Partnership (CHCP) CIC has expanded their business portfolio and taken the opportunity to buy a local Community Pharmacy business AS Ltd, with sites at Walker Street and Victoria Dock in Hull.
The organisation’s strong financial position and skilled staff have enabled the purchase to take place in a very effective and efficient manner. As a business, this moves CHCP CIC towards one of its objectives - to develop a sustainable company for its staff and the communities in which it operates.
Andrew Burnell Chief Executive said, “I am very pleased and proud of our organisation’s purchase of this business. After just over 14 months trading as a Community Interest Company such a move demonstrates a level of external confidence in our company model, viability, ability and internal expertise. This acquisition will help us to deliver a true extended, community focused service for local people. We will be able to achieve this through using and linking some of our current provided services to strengthen the already successful business model within AS Ltd.”
“I would like to thank our brilliant and hard working internal team who pulled this together and delivered, plus all partners in the process who were extremely receptive of CHCP CIC’s desire to expand. It has clearly demonstrated their confidence in the organisation going forward“
