Stopping Smoking just got easier
16 February, 2012
Stopping smoking is hard enough without trying to go it alone, and the Hull and East Riding Stop Smoking Service, part of City Health Care Partnership CIC, has just made it even easier with the launch of their new look website and innovative Quit Online Programme.
Maxine Wrightson , Operational Manager Public Health comments; “You are four times more likely to stop smoking and stay stopped with our help; this is achieved through a combination of support and Free NRT (Nicotine Replacement Therapy)”.
With this in mind the new look website offers a free Quit Online Programme which entitles anyone who signs up access to free NRT like patches or gum from local pharmacies. You don’t have to make an appointment, just go online and register - it’s quick, easy and convenient!
Maxine adds: “The Quit Online Programme offers free tools and personalised email support which is accessible 24 hours a day - all you have to do to join is go to www.readytostopsmoking.co.uk and register, you will then receive a phone call to discuss your free NRT and you can then access the programme to quit in the comfort of your own home at a time that suits you.”
“The Team is always on hand to talk to anybody about stopping smoking, if you need any extra support, we’re right here to help you every step of the way. We know that everyone is different and our Quit Online Programme is just one of many services we offer to suit peoples’ different lifestyles.
Leslie Archer, 42 signed up to the Quit Online Programme in January 2012, “Doing it online is a better way for me, I’m a fork lift driver and I work night shifts so this way fits in with my work. There are great tools on there that show you how much money you are saving and show your progress –it really keeps me on track and I can access it anytime. I would recommend it to anyone. It makes stopping so much easier, it really is excellent”
