Time to get rid of cigarettes
Have you made a New Year’s resolution to stop smoking? 2017 could be the year you Get Rid of cigarettes and Hull’s Stop Smoking team is here to help you.
Research shows you are five times more likely to quit smoking successfully with support, so if you are ready to get rid of smelly breath, smoker’s cough, empty pockets and bad teeth along with the cigarettes, there are lots of ways to get help.
The Hull Stop Smoking Service offers a wide range of local FREE services from walk in sessions (no appointment needed), 1-2-1s, an online programme and even mobile phone support.
Wendy Samuels, Stop Smoking Service Manager, explains: “We know that quitting isn’t easy but we want to reassure smokers that FREE and convenient support is available for them. Our team of trained advisors are here to offer convenient and practical help throughout the quit journey”.
Quitting smoking is one of the best things people can do for their health. William was a heavy smoker for 24 years until Smokefree Hull helped him to quit. “I was smoking pretty much a pack of tobacco every day and doing hardly any exercise and it was starting to take a toll on my health.
“I’ve noticed a big difference in my energy levels from stopping smoking; I regularly go on long walks and I feel much fitter and healthier and I’m definitely wealthier! I haven’t added up how much I’ve saved since quitting but it must be thousands of pounds.
“I would recommend the Smokefree Hull service to anyone who wants to stop smoking. They are really supportive and helpful and make the whole process much easier. I’m so glad I’m no longer a slave to tobacco.”
