Specialist Weight Management
Our team provide specialist support for both adults and children in Hull.
We help adults lose weight and keep it off in the long term. For children, we focus on achieving a healthy BMI rather than weight loss because children are still growing and developing.
We will work with you/your child to understand your medical, dietary, physical activity and psychological needs and develop a personal treatment plan. You/your child will be fully involved in the process throughout.
You will be seen by a highly qualified team of different health professionals:
- Dietitians and Dietetic Associate Practitioners who are specialists in providing nutritional advice and support to help people to lose weight.
- A Consultant with a specialist interest, training and expertise in treating people living with obesity.
- Physiotherapists who support the management and improvements in muscle/skeletal issues associated with obesity such as knee, hip and back problems.
- Physical Activity Specialists who offer expert advice and support on ways to safely increase physical activity to improve health and wellbeing.
- Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners with experience in supporting patients with mild to moderate mental health problems such as anxiety and depression.
