Podiatry Assistants

Podiatry Assistants help a podiatrist with routine care, wound care, and nail surgery clinics. They provide:

  • Nail cutting in the community
  • Annual foot checks and give advice on how to correctly take care of your feet
  • Refer patients to a podiatrist if necessary
Podiatry Apprentices

Podiatry Apprentices are training to become a registered podiatrist whilst working. They work part time and attend university part time. You may be asked if your treatment can be performed by one of our apprentices.

Podiatrists

Podiatrist are registered health professionals who:

  • Assess your need for podiatry care
  • Carry out annual foot checks and give advice on correct care for your feet
  • Provide routine care for corns or calluses on moderate to high-risk patients
  • Carry out nail surgery procedures in the community
  • Provide MSK (muscoloskeletal) assessments and treatments
Specialist & Advanced Podiatrists

Our specialist and advanced Podiatrists have a wealth of experience. They provide all the same care as a Podiarist as well as:

  • Routine care on high-risk patients
  • Wound care for patients with new or existing wounds on the foot
  • Referrals into other health professional departments for example orthotics and vascular consultants
Prescribing Podiatrists

Podiatrists that also can provide:

  • Prescription medications/treatments for foot related complications
