Staff member enjoys game to remember

When Hull Kingston Rovers fought to victory over St Helens in their recent Challenge Cup match, Trevor Beadle was more impressed than most. Trevor, a unit support worker at City Health Care Partnership CIC (CHCP CIC) was given the opportunity to watch the game in the luxury of the Vice President’s Suite, along with a three course meal and sparkling wine.

Trevor has since spoken about how he enjoyed his day. “I received a very friendly welcome on arrival, the room was full of atmosphere and anticipation for a good game. The food was good and I really enjoyed the company of the people from other organisations, who we shared the box with. It was a brilliant day out, many thanks to CHCP.”

Trevor was entered into a prize draw for this experience along with other staff shareholders at CHCP CIC.

As an employee owned organisation, CHCP CIC offers all permanent staff members the opportunity to purchase a £1 share. Becoming a shareholder not only gives staff the chance to be entered into prize draws, but also offers them the opportunity to get involved and have their say, which includes attending the Annual General Meeting.

Each shareholder pays £1 for their share; if a person leaves employment with CHCP CIC, their £1 is returned and they cease to be a shareholder. The money is retained by CHCP CIC and cannot be spent. The amount of money raised by shareholders will however be matched and mulitplied to give to a charity, chosen by shareholders at the AGM.

City Health Care Partnership CIC currently employs over 1200 members of staff with around 640 of them being shareholders.
