Our Oral Health team promoted Mouth Cancer Action Month in Goole on 20 November.

Withernsea event helps Holderness residents get healthier

The Oral Health team are hosting National Smile events across Hull and East Riding. Here is a photo of the event in Withernsea Pavilion on Tuesday 29th May. There will also be an event at Tesco in Bridlington on 31st May and on 5th June at St Stephens Shopping Centre in Hull. Why don't you come along and support these events

The East Riding Oral Health Team visited Swan House day centre to give advice on how to keep the service users and staff teeth and mouths clean and healthy. As you tell from the photo. Everyone had a great session and both staff and service users said they had learnt a lot on how to keep a nice smile!

The Oral Health Promotion staff have teamed up with the local Health Trainers to raise awareness of how to stop smoking and effects smoking has on the body and mouth. We attended some out patient clinics in Goole District Hospital and provided short educational workshops for staff and pupils at Hornsea School and Language College.

Over the last term, staff in the East Riding of Yorkshire have been visiting targeted schools and nurseries to deliver the Brush Bus programme. Here are a few photos of some of the pupils who were seen during September to December 2017

To support November’s Mouth Cancer Action Month, City Health Care Partnership CIC (CHCP CIC) are offering free mouth cancer examinations to people in the East Riding of Yorkshire, to make everyone aware of mouth cancer and the importance of regular check-ups in tackling this.

National Smile Month is here again! Since its creation almost 40 years ago, this campaign has aimed to help improve oral health in local communities. CHCP CIC’s Oral Health promotion team works annually with the Oral Health Foundation to promote this national event.
