A national award and twice runner up, not a bad week for City Health Care Partnership CIC

City Health Care Partnership CIC (CHCP CIC) has something to celebrate this week when they scooped the prestigious Cabinet Office Public Service Mutual Award in this year’s Philip Baxendale Awards. In addition, Chief Executive Andrew Burnell received a ‘highly commended’ in the Leadership category.
The prestigious Cabinet Office Public Service Mutual Award, which is in its first year,was awardedto celebrate the most impressive group of employees to have spun out of the public sector into an Employee-Led Mutual Organisation, and who are showing progress in transforming the service to improve outcomes for their users.
The Annual Philip Baxendale Awards took place on 14 November 2012 and opened the Employee Ownership Association’s (EOA) 2012 Annual conference. The event was co-sponsored by Baxi Partnership and the Employee Ownership Association (EOA).
To round the week up, the Adult Services team were awarded runner up in the Innovation and Technology category in Hull Daily Mail Business Awards last night for the innovative virtual ward programme. The initiative provides a multi disciplinary approach to deliver integrated patient care, enhancing patients’ experiences in Hull.
Chief Executive Andrew Burnell is delighted, he said: The Accolades play a key role in drawing attention to the great things that our staff and services have and are achieving. Gaining both national and local recognition for the fantastic work that take places as CHCP CIC just highlights to our partners, patients and the local community that we are achieving what we have set out to do.
To finish the week on a high CHCP CIC has been shortlisted in the Social Enterprise Yorkshire and Humber (SEYH) Awards in the Social Impact category. The winner will be announced at the SEYH Conference and Awards 2012 on the 26th November at the Octagon Centre in Hull. Fingers crossed they bring home the silverware!
