08 May, 2012

Following on from last year’s success,  the Directors at City Health Care Partnership CIC will be once again donning their pinnys and brewing up in aid of Nurses’ Day on Friday 11 May 2012.

All seven Directors, along with the Chief Executive will be at several nursing bases across Hull making well earned cuppas for frontline staff in recognition of all their hard work.

Nurses’ Day is an internationally recognised day that celebrates everything that’s great about nurses and nursing. The 12 May was chosen as the birth date of Florence Nightingale who is recognised by many as an important founder of modern nursing.

Lynda Whincup, Deputy Director Services & Professions said, “Nurses’ Day is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate all the hard work done throughout the year. At City Health Care Partnership CIC our nurses are at the forefront of delivery of care for patients, clients and families, and we feel it’s really important to recognise this.”

Andrew Burnell, Chief Executive City Health Care Partnership CIC said, “Nurses are a massively important part of City Health Care Partnership CIC and we couldn’t deliver the quality of service we do without them. By celebrating Nurses’ Day we are making a small gesture to show how much we value our frontline staff and the impact they make to people’s lives in Hull and the East Riding.”

City Health Care Partnership CIC employs over 500 qualified nurses. These cover a range of services such as Children & Young People Services, Adult Services, Specialist Services, Primary Care Services and Specialist Community Services.
