Care About out and about

05 June, 2014

Monday 9th June will see the start of the National Carers’ Week, City Health Care Partnership CIC (CHCP) will be offering information and advice through an information bus that will be touring across Hull during the week.

The bus is run through Care-About, as service provided by CHCP as part of their Carers’ Information and Support Service. Care-About is an outreach service that serves and identifies unpaid carers in Hull.

An unpaid carer is someone who provides support to family or friends who could not manage without this help, many people who care for loved ones are unaware that this help and information is available to them.

Beverley Shore, Outreach Development Advice Worker for CHCP has said, “We often receive enquiries from people concerned about someone they know who is caring for a family member or a friend, and do not know what support is available. The information bus is a perfect opportunity to find out information for yourself, or somebody you know.”

Throughout the week the information bus will visit the following locations:

Monday 9th June 2014 10am - 4pm: Queen Victoria Square

Tuesday 10th June 2014 10am - 4pm: North Point Shopping Centre (near Fordyke public house)
