City Health Care Partnership CIC (CHCP CIC) is pleased to open the doors to the new Carers’ Information and Support Service (C.I.S.S) today for adult carers’ in Hull.
The service, previously known as The Carer’s Centre, has a new temporary home at the Wilberforce Health Centre, 6-10 Story Street, Hull, and is welcoming Carers’ in the city both old and new to access the service.
Heather Kelly, Transition Lead for the service said: “This is a really exciting time for C.I.S.S, we are looking forward to working the staff, who transferred to CHCP CIC, and most importantly the carers’ themselves on how we can enhance and develop the information, advice and support we can offer to Carers’ and their families in the city.”
C.I.S.S. can provide help with one-to-one guidance about Carers’ personal situations, which can include support with education, employment and training. Caring impacts on the whole family - The service can provide the support, help and guidance to make sure everyone has a voice. It puts emphasis on the importance ensuring Carer’s and their families health needs are understood and appropriately supported.
The service is keen to have ‘shop’ style premises in the city centre, so members of the public can pop in as they go about their daily business. The move to Wilberforce is a temporary home for the service and it’s estimated the new premises will be up and running in the very near future.
Carers’ and their families can access the service Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm at the 3rd Floor Wilberforce Health Centre, 6-10 Story Street, Hull or by telephoning 01482 225078 and email carersinfo@chcphull.nhs.uk.
