Chief executive shortlisted for national award
19 September, 2014
Andrew Burnell, chief executive of local organisation City Health Care Partnership CIC (CHCP CIC), has been shortlisted as chief executive of the year in the prestigious national Health Service Journal Awards.
This year saw the highest number of entries in the awards’ history, over 1300, so to be included in a shortlist of 11 is a significant achievement.
“I’m obviously delighted to be shortlisted,” said Andrew, “but this isn’t just about me, it’s recognition of the hard work, dedication and commitment of my colleagues at CHCP CIC, who together have helped to build a successful company that provides the highest quality services to our local communities.
“I am very proud to be chief executive of this organisation and I’ll be prouder still if I can bring the winner’s trophy back up North. But the most important things to me are that our patients continue to be happy with our services and that our colleagues are passionate about doing a job that they love.”
CHCP CIC’s most recent patient survey showed that 98% of people who responded had trust and confidence in the person they saw. In a pilot of the NHS Friends and Family test, 98% of people said they would recommend CHCP CIC’s services to their friends and families.
The HSJ Awards winners will be announced at a gala ceremony at Grosvenor House in London on 29 November.
