After last week’s event in Hull to mark National Play Day, children who took part in a colouring competition with City Health Care Partnership CIC (CHCP) were awarded their prizes today at The Orchard Centre on Orchard Park Road.
As one of many organisations taking part in the Play Day celebrations, CHCP focused on a sun safety campaign giving parents and children information on how to stay safe in the sun
“It’s really important that parents keep their children protected from the dangers of sun, particularly when the its strongest in the summer between 11 and 3. We recommend using sun cream, a sun hat and keeping well hydrated to keep any ill effects at bay,” explained Community Nursery Nurse Angela Richardson.
“The play day was a huge success and proves how vital play is to children’s health, well being and development.”
The three winners of the colouring competition, each receiving a teddy bear, were Matthew Archer aged 7, Natalie Slipper aged 11 and Layla Hiles aged 2 years
