Dr de Vries Charity Piano Recital
20 February, 2019
Local doctor gives concert to raise funds for young heart patients
In memory of Jamie Loncaster, who passed away suddenly from a cardiac event, a charity piano recital performed by local GP Dr Henk de Vries is being held at Middleton Hall, Hull University.
Every week in the UK at least 12 young people die of undiagnosed heart conditions; 80% have no prior symptoms. Jamie was tragically one of those young people...
Health and care provider CHCP’s Foundation charity awarded colleague Dr Henk de Vries £500 in sponsorship to put on the recital. The Foundation's objective is to promote and support health and wellbeing within the communities in which CHCP delivers services by innovating, inspiring, involving and investing in our staff, services and the community. The Foundation also sponsors CHCP staff who are involved in charitable activities. Money raised from the event will go to the charities: Cardiac Risk in the Young and the Jamie Loncaster Memorial Fund.
Henk’s programme for the recital on the 10th of April 2019 will include:
Schumann Kindersczenen opus 15
Brahms Rhapsody no1 opus 79
Beethoven Sonate opus 109
Faure Nocturne 13 opus 119
