Get "TEETH4LIFE" with National Smile Month
21 May, 2010
Every year National Smile Month beams into Hull to teach children under five and their families the importance of looking after their teeth, which will in turn, help to maintain their teeth for life.
The Salaried Dental Service at City Health Care Partnership (NHS Hull Provider Services) has teamed up with Hull City Council Leisure Services to hold three fun road shows across Hull. This year the campaign runs between May 16 – June 16 and targets families with children under 5 years old to show them how to take care of their teeth and mouths, to make them last for life.
Emma Raper, Dental Health Educator comments
“National Smile Month offers a fun way to introduce children under 5 to dental health care. This year’s campaign is focusing on Teeth4Life, as It is very important to teach parents and children how to look after their mouth and teeth from a young age to ensure their teeth take them into adulthood and beyond.”
As part of the celebrations, there will be three fun road shows, specifically targeting children under five and their families. The first is due to be held on Wednesday 19 May, 9-11am at Beverley Road Swimming Baths. On Wednesday 19 May the road show will also visit Ennerdale Leisure Centre between 1-3pm. The final stop will be held on Wednesday 26th May, 9.30-11.30 at Woodford Leisure Centre.
