Health staff donate to good causes for Christmas
23 December, 2013
Staff from City Health Care Partnership CIC (CHCP CIC) have been getting into the festive and goodwill spirit by donating to good causes. Customer Services staff teamed up with to Dr Hendow’s and Dr Gopal’s practices within Bransholme Health Centre to collect items for a Christmas hamper that was donated to Dove House Hospice. The hamper included amongst other things, snacks, sweets and sparkling wine.
Lorraine Ginnelly, Customer Services Team Leader for CHCP CIC helped to organise the collection of the hamper, she said “I’m really pleased with the generosity shown by everyone. It was great to be able to donate the hamper to such a good cause, especially at this time of year.”
Staff based at CHCP CIC’s head offices have also been showing their generosity, collecting £220 to buy toys for children based at a women & children’s hostel in Hull. The age of the children ranges from 2 months to 16 years.
Stacey Newlove, Employee Benefits Administrator for CHCP CIC was involved with collecting the money, purchasing the toys and working with the hostel.
Stacey has said, “I want to say a big thank you to everyone who has helped. Instead of buying each other Christmas cards, we asked if they would donate to this cause instead. These families are going through very difficult times, and we felt it was important to help give them a good Christmas.”
