Healthy family favourites wanted

16 October, 2015

Have you got a favourite family recipe for a nourishing dinner? Health workers from City Health Care Partnership CIC and Hull City Council are looking for ideas to help people create delicious, healthy meals that won’t break the bank.

Debbie Jackson, infant feeding co-ordinator for City Health Care Partnership CIC, said, “We want to encourage families from all ethnic groups in the city to share recipes to encourage people to try food and cooking styles that might be new to them.

“We want simple meals that are cheap to cook so we can show parents how easy it is to make healthy, inexpensive food for the whole family. Obesity is a growing problem in Hull, particularly in children and we want to try and steer people away from processed convenience foods.”

All contributions will be recognised in the booklet, so if you’ve got a favourite family meal to share, send it to Debbie Jackson and you could be helping to change the way Hull eats for the better!
