Mouth Cancer Action Month!

Our Oral Health team promoted Mouth Cancer Action Month in Goole on 20 November.

This event was arranged in partnership with the CHCP Goole Dental Services and our Oral Health Promotion Team. The session involved three surgeries performing oral cancer screenings for anyone who attended.

The Hull Health Promoters were also on hand to do free blood pressure checks for the public and the East Riding of Yorkshire Health Trainers were providing support to individuals who wanted stop smoking advice. There was also a nurse from HRI Maxillofacial Department to support and advise on any matters arising following on from the screening. The team made six referrals into various health services and Hull Royal Infirmary, which identified the need in the area.
