Results are out for the Annual Patient Survey
06 February, 2012
City Health Care Partnership CIC (CHCP CIC) has released the results of 2011 Annual Patient Survey, showing patient satisfaction is on the increase for community health care in Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire.
Since 2009, CHCP CIC has carried out an Annual Patient Survey, which has become an integral method of feedback that comes directly from patients themselves. The feedback helps CHCP CIC understand what is working well for patients and identify any areas for development or improvement.
Overall 85% of respondents rated the care and support they had received as either excellent or very good, a 7% increase since 2009. In addition, the results show that 94% of respondents said the service had either matched or exceeded their expectations
The survey also showed the organisation also rated highly in the following areas:
- 99% of respondents had trust and confidence in the main person they saw
- 95% of respondents rated the health professional at the service very good or good at treating them with care and concern
- 96% of respondents said the health professional was very good or good at being respectful of their needs
Andrew Burnell, Chief Executive of CHCP CIC is pleased with the results and said: “Patients are at the heart of our services and our staff work extremely hard providing the best possible care for them. The patient survey goes some way to highlight this.”
“Having said that, we are not complacent and know there are always areas for improvement and development within our services. Over the next few months we will be working with our staff to build on the areas where we have done well and address those where there is room for improvement. We want to make the 2012 results even better!”
