Carers, coffee, cakes and company

30 May, 2014

The Carers’ Information and Support Service (CISS) are holding a coffee morning on 3rd June as part of the celebrations for Volunteers’ Week.

CISS is a service provided by City Health Care Partnership CIC (CHCP) dedicated to supporting those who care for another adult or child with a chronic long-term illness or disability.

CISS recruits volunteers to deliver support, either telephone or face to face, to carers who may need a confidence boost or help to regain some independence.

Eileen Macfarlane, Volunteer Coordinator for CHCP has said “We are extremely grateful for the time and dedication the wonderful volunteers have given over the last year, the coffee morning to celebrate the added value they bring to the communities of Hull.”

Whether you volunteer, would like to volunteer or just want to find out a little bit more information you can pop in on 3rd June, at any time between 10.30am and 2pm at their centre on King Edward Street to enjoy coffee, cakes and company.
