Urgent Care

We have a range of services including Urgent Treatment Centres which are nurse led, open access clinics. Patients with a minor injury should attend this sit and wait walk-in service which also has access to x-ray during specified hours.

Patients with a minor illness are advised to ring NHS 111 for a clinical assessment first and may be provided with information to attend an Urgent Treatment Centre as a sit and wait service or may be given an appointment at an alternative service that can meet their needs.

The GP Urgent Out of Hours Service provides urgent medical care between 6.30pm and 8.00am on weekdays and around the clock at weekends and bank holidays. You need to ring NHS 111 to access this service.

The Nurse-led Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) Service provides assessment and diagnosis to patients with a suspected DVT. Patients can be referred by a GP or healthcare professional, please call 01482 247111 for further referral information.
