Fingers crossed for fantastic four

Wednesday 30th November will see the Nursing Times Awards held at the Grosvenor Hotel, London. City Health Care Partnership CIC (CHCP CIC) will be keeping their fingers crossed, with services shortlisted in four different categories.
The A&E Liaison Service has been shortlisted for the Emergency and Critical Care category. This is a nurse-led liaison service working across primary, community and acute care.
Men Need Sheds have been shortlisted for the Nursing in Mental Health category. This project gets older men who are isolated or have mild to moderate mental health problems together to socialise, relax and get some gardening done.
The community based Tuberculosis (TB) Nursing team have been shortlisted for the Nursing in the Community Award, for their efforts to maximise their ability to screen and detect TB in hard to reach groups.
The Employee Wellbeing Project has been shortlisted for Excellence in Supporting Staff Health and Wellbeing.
As recognition of their achievements, Dee Howarth of Men Need Sheds, Louise Walters from the A&E Liaison Service and Andrew Burnell, CHCP CIC Chief Executive have all been invited to meet Prince Charles at a lunch time reception at Clarence House.
Louise Walters has said about meeting the Prince, “I’m very nervous about meeting Prince Charles, but also extremely excited at the same time. It will be a proud moment for me personally, but the full team deserves credit for the work we do.”
Andrew Burnell, Chief Executive of CHCP CIC will be attending on the day and said, “I am very much looking forward to meeting Prince Charles, and also to attending the awards. To have been shortlisted in four different categories is a huge achievement for our organisation and a credit to the fantastic work everyone at CHCP CIC does, across a range of different services. I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed.”
