Welcome to Alderson House, a purpose-built care home less than a mile from Hull city centre, where residents can have access to local attractions in our historic city.

Each of our 32 ensuite bedrooms is furnished to a high standard, offering residents comfort and tranquillity. At Alderson House independence and choice is very important and we encourage residents to personalise their rooms with their own belongings to help them feel at home.

We believe that life at Alderson House should include the best care and the best of life in the best environment.

All residents are supported to live an active and fulfilled life. Our person-centred care ethos puts their health and wellbeing at the centre of a truly holistic care package.

The facilities at Alderson House allow residents to enjoy other everyday routines that promote independence, from using the communal lounges and enjoying the gardens to relaxing in the beauty salon and catching up with friends in the dining room.

Our home has a busy activities timetable, built around mental stimulation, increased mobility and social engagement. Activities include arts and crafts sessions, gardening, exercise classes, cinema nights, quizzes, musical performances and pamper sessions. There will be a wide variety of activities to try, with new ones added frequently.

The in-house chefs will prepare exceptional food from fresh, seasonal produce that’s locally sourced where possible. Menus will include a mix of delicious and nutritious options including traditional classic meals, residents’ favourites and exciting international cuisine.

Alderson House are proud to be part of the Dementia Friends campaign and other charities to support research on what practices best support people living with dementia to positively influence policy and practice for dementia care in care homes across the UK.
