Healthcare & Medication

Your GP

While you are staying at Holy Name you may need to temporarily register with a GP in the local area. This is due
to GP restrictions and boundaries for visiting. Our admin team can sort this out for you. Your GP will be told when
you come in (admitted) to Holy Name and when you leave (discharged).

Medication

We have a full team of professionals including doctors and pharmacists to assist you in your health and the
management of your medication and recovery while staying at Holy Name.

Please tell the seniors/care leaders/nurses if you are taking any over-the-counter medication or other medications
from home, as they may affect your prescribed medication.

Hospital appointments

Please let staff know in advance if you have any outpatient appointments at the hospital. Transport can be arranged
for you by the admin team/residential care leader. Please note that staff are unable to accompany you on
appointments.
